Kathy completed her law degree at Thurgood Marshall School of Law, actively participating in the academic community. During law school, Kathy actively participated in student organizations and served as President of the Civil Rights Law Society (CRLS), leading various events. There, the CRLS hosted numerous events including police panels. Invited prosecutors from the Harris County District Attorney’s Office to speak, hosting professors from Thomas Jefferson School of Law. Additionally, Kathy and her team also engaged with high school students, educating them about their 5th and 6th Amendment rights.

Previously, Kathy worked at Goodwill Industries in Houston, aiding homeless veterans. She helped them gain self-sufficiency with housing and support services, also conducting home inspections. Kathy earned her Psychology and Sociology degree at UTSA, actively participating in academics. There, she founded ‘The Young and Misguided (yMe?)’, mentoring San Antonio’s youth.
