Kathy Adibe is a graduate of Thurgood Marshall School of Law (TMSL) where she obtained her Juris Doctorate degree. While in law school, Kathy was an active member in student organizations and she held the position as President of the highly active Civil Rights Law Society (CRLS). There, the CRLS hosted numerous events including police panels, invited prosecutors from the Harris County District Attorney’s Office to speak, hosting professors from Thomas Jefferson School of Law, and even met with high school students to teach them their 5th and 6th amendment rights. Kathy also held the position as the Social Committee Chair where she planned annual events for the student body of TMSL. Kathy was also a member of Change Happens Positive Outcomes in Mentoring program where she mentored students with incarcerated parents.
During law school, Kathy also interned with the Harris County District Attorney’s Office in county court at law #7 where she was able to interview victims and witnesses, assist with formal plea procedures, assist with trial preparation, conduct research, and routinely accompany prosecutors to court to observe and help with court dockets, hearings, and trials. Before attending law school, Kathy was a Housing Manager for Goodwill Industries of Houston where she helped homeless veterans become self-sufficient by obtaining housing by offering case management and supportive services and also conducted home inspections and visits. Additionally, Kathy attended the University of Texas at San Antonio (UTSA) where she obtained her Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology and Sociology. While at UTSA, she was the sole founder of The Young and Misguided (yMe?), which is an organization dedicated to serving the area of San Antonio’s youth through mentorship and participation in the community in hopes to affect the lives of grade school children.
Kathy is also a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority incorporated.
Kathy is a licensed trial attorney with the State of Texas and managing attorney for Adibe Law Group, LLC. Kathy has always been passionate about addressing the injustices of this world and plans to fight hard for the rights of individuals. Kathy’s practice areas are criminal defense, family law, and civil law.
